Description

So, this is like any other pong game out there. I use it mainly to test my stdtools library. You'll need my stdtools package to play it (not included), which is also one of my projects here. Go grab that first here (version 0.5).

NOTE: reports say this game does not work with pygame 1.8rc4. I'm supporting whatever is on my box, which is 1.7.1 at the moment.

Oh yeah. Sorry about that name. It's horrible.

Hmm... I have pygame 1.8rc4 and python 2.5.1. Maybe that's the issue shrugs

I'm sorry, but I can't reproduce the problem. It works perfectly for me under both windows and ubuntu. The only thing I can think of is that I have different versions of pygame or python (I have version 1.7.1 and 2.5.1 respectively). Since there's no error messages whatsoever, I have no idea what could be causing this. Like I said, it works perfectly for me.

When I run it from the command line I get a black screen and it quits :P

hmm. I have no such error when running it in IDLE. I'll boot into windows and test if the problem is there. In the meantime, you could try running it from the command line.

When I run the game in IDLE, it gives me a popup window that says something like "Runtime Error! This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the applications support team for more information."

did you download the stdtools module? It's not included. download that at http://www.wgtower.nl/files/stdtools.tar.bz2 and unpack into the pong directory

I get a runtime error when I run "pong.py". :(
