Description

Laserz originally began as just a sandbox with a laser and unlimited mirrors to play around with (which though unbelievably entertaining, didn't really have an objective ;). Now the point is to reflect a laser, which originates in the center, through all the targets on a given level, using a limited number of mirrors.

That's not a bug, that's how physics works. I don't yet how the rules could be changed to avoid that. Maybe having a parallel auxillary ray that should cross at least one target?

Great game, I found it's really fun to play with it to make loops. Although there is a 'bug' in gameplay. To solve a level all you have to do is close the level in mirrors (http://img410.imageshack.us/img410/5549/laserzwin.jpg if you add a mirror in the red line you win the level, works every time). I'm not really sure how this could be avoided, but I'll keep an eye on this ;)

I had the idea of making a 3D version, but I never got around to it.

It's not quite a new idea anyway. I remember an old similar game, where you placed small 45° slopes and then fired some lasers. There was also an element of timing to it.

Well, I think confusion over making and editing is less of a problem than confusion over making and deleting. Also, most other applications which make use of control points use the left mouse button for that. But it could be just my experience...

@effeemme I tried that, but i don't want any confusion with making versus editing mirrors, which is why i made them different buttons. I guess I could make it configurable, if you think that would be valuable

That's the kind of game we need! Great job. What do you think about making and editing mirrors by dragging with the left mouse button and removing them with the right one?
